Why Choose This Brass Murugan Vel Vilakku?

1. Sacred Tamil Om and Vel Design

At the centre of this traditional brass vilakku stands Lord Murugan’s Vel, combined with an ornamental Tamil Om design.

In Murugan worship, the Vel represents divine wisdom, courage and the power to overcome ignorance.

The detailed brass design makes this lamp a meaningful addition to your home altar, especially for devotees of Lord Murugan.

2. Six Diya Cups – Arumuga Vilakku

This 6 Mugam Vel Vilakku, also known as an Arumuga Vilakku, features six individual diya cups arranged around the central Vel.

The six-lamp design is especially meaningful in Murugan devotion, where Lord Murugan is worshipped as Arumugan or Shanmukha, the six-faced Lord.

Each diya cup can be filled with oil or ghee and fitted with a cotton wick.

Light all six lamps together for a beautiful devotional display during special poojas.

3. Made from Brass with a Golden Finish

Made from brass, this Murugan Vel Lamp features a polished golden finish that complements traditional South Indian pooja rooms.

The central Vel has an antique-style engraved appearance, creating an attractive contrast with the brightly polished diya cups.

Brass is widely used in traditional Indian worship accessories and can be maintained with regular cleaning and proper care.

4. Compact Size for Home Pooja

With a total height of approximately 7 inches and a base width of 6.5 inches, this Murugan Vel Vilakku fits comfortably into many home pooja arrangements.

Its six-cup design creates an attractive display without requiring six separate lamps.

Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface with sufficient clearance around the flames.
